What is Frontotemporal dementia ?

Frontotemporal dementia (FTD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder characterized by the gradual degeneration of the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain.

This condition manifests as a range of cognitive and behavioral changes, impacting personality, language, and executive functions.

FTD is distinct from other forms of dementia, such as Alzheimer's disease, and early recognition of its symptoms is crucial for accurate diagnosis and tailored care.

What is Primary Progressive Aphasia ?

Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA) is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by a gradual and relentless loss of language abilities over time.

Unlike typical forms of aphasia resulting from strokes or injuries, PPA is a progressive condition associated with underlying neurological diseases, such as Alzheimer's or frontotemporal lobar degeneration.

This disorder primarily affects language functions, including speech production, comprehension, and word finding.
