Lionel Messi has just reached another incredible landmark in his illustrious career by notching his 500th league goal while playing for Inter Miami. His two goals in the match against Orlando City on Saturday were the icing on the cake.

Orlando City, who were runners-up in the Eastern Conference last year and seen as strong contenders for this year's MLS Cup, couldn't keep up with Inter Miami right from the start.

Although Suarez had seemed a bit off his game in his first couple of matches, the seasoned 37-year-old who was last season's top scorer for Gremio in Brazil, silenced any skeptics about his prowess up front.

Messi expressed his delight, saying, "I'm really happy for him that he managed to find the net. We weren't worried, we know what Luis is all about and what he can do, and I think everyone is aware of that. He's got this knack for turning games around when you least expect it, with both goals and assists."

Suarez wasted no time in making his mark for Inter Miami, scoring within the first four minutes. His first goal for the team was a stunner, as he slammed home a low cross from Julian Gressel at the near post. Not long after, Suarez was celebrating again, with Gressel playing the role of provider once more. Suarez showed off his tight ball control in the box before slotting the ball into the corner.

Inter Miami dominated the game, and while the crowd enjoyed some exquisite moments from Messi, it was his ex-Barcelona mate Suarez who stole the show. Robert Taylor extended their lead to 3-0 in the 29th minute after another brilliant play from Gressel, who found Suarez. This time, Suarez turned provider, setting up Taylor for an easy finish.

Messi nearly added to the spectacle with a signature curling free-kick from 30 yards that hit the post. He also played a slick through ball to Suarez, who put the ball in the net, but the celebrations were cut short by an offside call.

Orlando City came back with renewed vigor after halftime, looking for a way to claw back into the match. They thought they had a chance when Martin Ojeda found the net, but their hopes were dashed by another offside decision.
